New to Bearden UMC? Here’s what you can expect!

We know that attending a new church for the first time can be a little intimidating, so we want to answer a few important questions up-front to help you out!

Q: What should I wear to worship?

A: Whatever you feel most comfortable in! We have folks that wear suits and ties and we have folks who wear shorts in the winter time! We are much more interested in who you are than what you wear. Check out our helpful guide video below. We just want you to join us at church!

Q: Where do I park?

A: We have several areas for parking. You may use our Upper Parking Lot, Side Parking Lot, and Rear Parking Lot. If the Upper Parking Lot is full, you may park across the street.

Q: I’ve decided I want to attend a service or Sunday School. Where do I go once I arrive?

A: Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. in a variety of different classrooms. Service is at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. There are signs posted all around the church, but please don’t hesitate to ask for directions!

Q: What options are there for Childcare?

A: We have excellent children’s, childcare, and youth ministries! For our little ones, ages newborn to 4-years-old, our Nursery is located on the hall right across from the Sanctuary and is readily available. For children in Kindergarten through 12th Grade, we offer standard Sunday School classes. We also offer Children’s Church during the Worship Service.

Q: What accommodations are there for people with physical disabilities?

A: At our overhang entrance, you can find an elevator that will take you to the floor you desire. We also have handicap-accessible restrooms on the 2nd floor across from the Children’s Sunday School classes. Wheelchairs are available upon request.
