Not the End

Romans 8:28

28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I have a hard time comprehending what is happening to Jesus. Jesus is pure, righteous, sinless. He heals and give people hope. Seemly out of nowhere, evil takes over. How does one let the demons inside them do such a horrid deed to Jesus? I must remind myself, this is not the end of the story. The resurrection and hope is still to come. Jesus did not come just to die, but to be raised again in glory. Today evil still surrounds me in my community and in the world. The news seems to be saturated with evil happenings to the innocent and helpless. Things that I cannot comprehend reason.

Growth and change doesn’t happen instantaneously. It happens over time. For example, I can’t watch a flower open up in a few minutes. My children don’t grow overnight. It is something I am confident will happen, but I can’t do anything to change it. This is how God is at work in my life. I must trust that God uses every situation and every issue to teach me and use me for his glory. I must remember that even though evil is here, it doesn’t win. I know the end of the story. I don’t know how things will turn out, but I am confident in the resurrection hope that was promised to me with the resurrection of my Lord Jesus
